Should I Mark an Event as Lost or Cancel it?

Currently in VenueOps, when you mark an event as lost, you are required to include a Reason Lost as to why your venue didn't win the business. Some of these reasons might be:

  • Size of Venue
  • Client's Preferred Dates Unavailable
  • Price of Venue
  • Tour Was Re-Routed
  • Client Refused to Share, etc.

We generally recommend that venues only use the status of Canceled if there was a booking error, and duplicates were created on the calendar, or an event should not have been added to the calendar.
